Michael P. Schloemer, P.E.
Principal
Mr. Schloemer has more than 40 years experience in the design, construction supervision and system checkout and commissioning of electrical power and control systems for various industrial plants including petrochemical, utility power plant, food, and cogeneration facilities. Mr. Schloemer is well known for his knowledge and experience in the design of high voltage substations, medium and high voltage switchgear, and power distribution systems.
He has extensive experience preparing fault, load flow, coordination, and arc-flash studies and has designed electrical substations rated to 115/230 kV and 250 MVA. These facilities have been installed in refineries, cogeneration facilities, utility power plants, and cement/aggregate plants. He also has specific experience relating to the design of complex relaying and metering systems, including line protection differential schemes, distance relay schemes, and directional relaying schemes using digital microprocessor based relays.
In addition to his power design experience, Mr. Schloemer has extensive process control experience with various PLC and DCS systems. He is proficient at programming Allen Bradley and Modicon PLCs as well as Foxboro IA and Honeywell TDC 3000 distributed control systems.
Mr. Schloemer serves as the engineering manager and is responsible for technical quality of all design work. He also performs project management and electrical engineering on assigned projects.
