Douglas Dodds Jr., P.E.

Principal

Mr. Dodds has over 40 years of experience in designing electrical power and control systems for industrial plants including petrochemical, food-processing, mining and aggregate, and cogeneration facilities.  He specializes in the engineering and design of high- and medium-voltage substation, distribution, and generation systems.  This includes use of power system analysis tools to perform short-circuit, load flow, and protective device coordination studies, designing and configuring protective relaying, and performing lighting and grounding system design. 

Mr. Dodds’ experience includes developing detailed electrical equipment procurement and construction specifications and drawings, preparing major electrical equipment bid evaluations, and performing equipment checkout and field start-up support activities.

He also has extensive experience in instrumentation wiring, control network and PLC panel design, including PLC and DCS programming.

Mr. Dodds is a Principal with Damatt Engineering and is responsible for the production related activities of the firm.
